About Me:: Hey everyone - I'm glad to find a place where we can all find ways to deal with Alopecia. This is my third experience with it in about 6 years. In the last two cases my hair has always grown back within three to five months but seems to be taking its time this time around.
After several months of trying different shampoos and vitamins, I've decided to save my time and money and just accept the fact that it ain't coming back until it's good and ready, might be next week or it might all fall off. I have just spent the last eight months worrying about something that I have no control over, and I think that its time to move ahead with this.
Reading everyone else's profiles are both eye-opening and inspiring, it's great to be part of such a fantastic group of people! I have to hand it to my Alopecian sisters, cuz as tough as it is for us guys to have Alopecia, the girls here are amazing.
I'm looking forward to chatting, exchanging letters or meeting with my fellow Alopecians!

I decided to shave the remaining hair off because there really wasn't anything else I could do with what was left. I thought about keeping the hair on the sides...but the hair on the back of my head is gone...so wearing a hat without anyone still noticing..would still look strange. I just avoided a gala last night...where hats would be a no no. So I understand your predicament with your neice's communion. Thanks again for the comment.

I never tried silica, but I had 100% regrowth with Triaxon (maybe 98% lol). Of course three weeks after I stopped using it, my hair all fell out again so I guess it's kind of a lifetime investment.
Please let us know about the silica (where do you get it?)
