The Funniest Thing!

The funniest thing happened to me last night. I was inside Wendy's waiting for my order to be served when I heard this lady "Miss, Miss, where did you get your hair?" I must have thought to myself "I dont think she is talking to me." But she was and she said it again even louder and this time she added "thats some good stuff" which prompted the other workers to say yeah that is nice. I came to the conclusion that the cream I am using is not working. Discovered that one spot got larger and shinier and another is becoming more defined. Very disappointing.

At 7:20pm on July 17th, 2008, Mandy said…: Yep it was May of this year. When I first noticed the spots it was pretty much denial shortly followed by depression. But luckily, I found this website right away and I was able to reach acceptance very quickly and my sadness was very short lived. :o)

I was diagnosed on May 2nd. So far I've lost about 60% of my hair, I'd say. There's really no way to know what will happen and when.

I'm so jealous that you live in the Bahamas! I LOVE the Caribbean. I've been to the Bahamas once, but not since I was much younger. I'm going to St. Maarten next March for the 3rd time. I LOVE island life!
