About Me:: Hi!
My name is Zoe and I am a first year student at UVIC.
I've had alopecia areata since I was 15 years old. I've had it three times, but have never lost all of my hair. Last time I had alopecia was about one year ago and I lost about half of the hair on my head. Just recently, my alopecia has returned. It's certainly a struggle, but I find that every time I get it, it seems to get easier. I am lucky to be surrounded with great friends, an amazing boyfriend and the best family in the whole world which definitely helps me in my struggle. I love laughing and smiling and having fun. I also love the outdoors and being active. The second time that I had alopecia, I got a little baby golden retriever to cheer me up. She also helps me through the harder times. Pets are the greatest! Although my alopecia sometimes brings me down, it has also helped shape the person that I am today. I've learned tons about myself by having this auto immnune disease. The best thing to do is to SMILE and share the love!!:)

good news also , that your hair is growing =)
anyway the most i have lost of hair is probably about 40 % .. so i've never lost all of my hair , hope things will stay like that !
i've had areata for 4-5 years now..
and i have my eybrows and eylashes , although my eybrows are little bit thin now , so that's ok =) have you ever lost yours ?
