About Me:: hey everone- im 12 and ive had AA for 1 year. In december 2006, I decided to shave it all off! Now I wear a wig and have a lot of regrowth of the top of my head, but just some "peach fuzz" on the sides of my head. I love my friends, family, and my pets. All 3 of my best friends are very supportive about my alopecia, and so are my family. I live on a lake so i LOVE swimming, tubing, and being on our boat. Some big reliefs for me are soccer, music, and being outside. I play... soccer, basketball, and volleyball. My family is very close, and they all love me.. hair or no hair. I shaved my dads head the day i shaved my head, and every once and a while I decide to shave my head. Everyday I look in the mirror when i wake up, and see my bald head, sometimes I cry, and sometimes I feel glad that im bald, because havinig alopecia has helped me not judge people by how they look, and it has helped me be a stronger person. Sometimes it holds me down, but i don't think it should.

first day of school ;)

heyy today was the first day of school all the kids who were kinda mean to me are in NONE of my classes lots of friends are in my class.... i have a feeling this school year will be great!

i know wigs can sometimes get poofy... espically if you wear them alot... but how does anyone help tame their hair down... im in alot of sports so after running around alot i look like a wild woman- lol- does anyone have any tips or tricks i would love to know them... and is i ok to straighten or blow dry your hair - i almost do every day, is that bad for you hair?

school is starting soon.... last year people would always ask me if i wore a wig, and i would say no. last year i told this one girl who wasnt really my friend but kind of was, that i wore a wig, she went around and told everybody about it. then girls would talk about it right in front of me like i wasnt there. id just ignore it until they would say something like "you wear a wig, right" and i would say no, well that didnt work out too good for me, because i think everyone kinda just knew becaus… Continue

my grandpa is in the hospital so we decided to go see him but i went with no wig! then we went to a really busy restaraunt and i wore no wig- i was really proud of myself!

oh i get my wigs from all over. i have 4 as of right now. most my mom and aunt ordered for me off the internet, i got a brown one from a wig store and the long blonde one i actually got at a kiosk in the mall! haha..
