Eyelashes - Latanoprost medication

I came across this article and was considering trying this to regrow my lashes? Does anyone have any insight about this? The link below is the medical jouranl article that explains it.

Hi Jennifer,
I've some experience with Latanoprost, as I have been using daily in the form of eyedrops for about ten years as a treatment for my glaucoma.
Although the article seems to be suggesting it's use on the skin of the eyelids rather than actually in the eye, it does frequently come into contact with my eyelids quite a bit in the process of putting in the drops.
I don't have the information leaflet that comes with it handy at the moment, but I remember that it does mention the thickening of eyelashes as an occasional side effect. So obviously it can have that effect with some people. It didn't seem to affect my eyelashes at all whilst I still had them (I only lost them last year) and it doesn't seem to have had any effect on retaining them either.
It's not really clear to me from the article whether the girl in question actually had alopecia, as she had only lost her eyelashes, nothing else seemed to be affected. So personally I'm a bit dubious as to whether it would have any effect on alopecia eyelash loss.
But, as I say, the medecine does list eyelash thickening as a possible side effect, so who knows, it might be worth a try.
Hope this is of some help, sorry if it's a bit negative.
Let us know how you get on
- Gordon

Yes, your comment did help. I have to think some more. It is interesting though. Thank you for responding. Jenn
