I don't know anyone else who has alopecia. I have dealt with alopecia outbreaks since I was about 5 years old and it has always been something that I have silently struggled with. I'm 23 years old now, and am currently dealing with it yet again. I really need someone who can understand what I'm going thru, just to talk to. I guess this is the perfect place to find that... I hope.

I've had alopecia for 30 years so you can talk to me anytime. I felt very alone until I recently began meeting others with alopecia at support meetings and for lunches. We are everywhere! I love talking to people about alopecia though so feel free to message me or leave a comment on my wall! Keep your chin up! :)

San Diego Support Group -
Group meets on the last Wednesday of odd numbered months at 6:30pm at the Mission Branch Library.
If you've never been to a support group meeting, I'd recommend it. It's always better to talk to someone in person that via the internet. You could meet someone your age there and become real great friends!

I have AA for 6 years now. May I suggest that contacting NAAF for support groups. It so much better to be others in a face to face basis. Anlo in your age group.
