Dear Olivia, I lost all my long hair a few months ago. I am a mum of 2 girls. But because I know that we are so much more then our outside looks and our hair, I decided not to wear a wig either. I am still me - just without the hair. At home and with my friends and family I can walk baldly. But at school and outside I still wear a simple scarf from my girls closet. It's winter here now and cold. But I believe that when summer comes I will live totally free of cover ups just the way I am naturally. If I can accept myself then others will eventually too. kinds regards, Anouk

Olivia, I applaud your courage and strength. You are a beautiful young lady on the outside as well as the inside. Did you always have such a positive outlook about your condition. My daughter is 10 and she has alopecia but she hasn't gotten to a point where she feels comfortable enough to go without her wig. You are truly an inspiration to all those young girls who are having to deal with being bald. God bless you for you are truly on of God's blessed. Mary, Brianna's mom
