Марина, добрый день... Слово скандальный появилось благодаря стилисту Наде Агеевой... для неё это был новый опыт и поскольку она помогала создать образы и организовала эту фотосессию  то и название получилось таким...

я работаю в СМИ и это слово прямо режет глаз )) образы - очень женственные, ничего скандального или конфликтного. Жаль, что  для этой фотосессии она не смогла найти более гармоничного слова ))
