Patience is clearly a virtue. The few patches of hair that have sprouted on my head since being diagnosed with AU 18 months ago have also been very thin and light. Three weeks ago I decided to shave them off and start fresh with the new year. Although I haven't had new growth, the shaved hairs are growing back darker and thicker.

Steroid injections take time, I have done them off and on for the last 24 years. Be patient! Best of Luck to you!
