Has anyone here successfully changed there diet to regrow hair? I have been looking into claims of people going vegan/organic and have amazing results. I'm mostly a veg/fruit eater myself but I still included some animal products.

Hey Vanessa -- that fingernail thing is really strange!   I wonder what that even means...I'll have to look that up.  It sounds scary in a way,  since I know that anything happening near nerve endings is something to pay attention to.

oh man I wish I could stand things like liver (or any meat for that matter.)   I know liver is sooo good for you,  just have bad memories of the smell when my mom cooked it.   I'll have to figure out how to trick myself into eating the real thing,  I just don't trust substitutes or fake versions.

Btw what's weird is I never,  ever get sick.   I also always liked all the different veggies and fruits and got excited to eat carrots as a kid -- I was weird lol.   Even my dog gets excited to eat carrots and veggies!   So that's the main staple of my diet,  and for sweets I eat lots of berries and yogurt.  I force myself to eat some protein because of the hair issue though.   So I am thinking my hair loss would more likely be hormonal,  like from birth control,  or the utter lack of sleep --  since your body repairs and grows at night and the hormone melatonin also affects hair growth.  Without that nighttime sleep (I had worked nights mostly for years)  you are not healing,  unfortunately.   But other than the hair loss,  never got sick or had other effects.

I was vegan for 10 years and then developed AU. I still eat a diet low in animal products and the diet is also wheat and soy free ... still have AU .  I have had alopecia for 15 years.  I will always eat a vegan or close to vegan plant based diet but it hasn't prevented my alopecia.

I make my own bone broth if you use a pressure cooker it only takes 2 hours. I drink it everyday and make soups and stews with it.

i don't have a pressure cooker but my mom raves about hers. Think I might borrow it from her, it's a great idea.   So what do you do, just throw a bunch of bones in there?  I buy my dog and cat whole chickens sometimes,  so maybe I should save all the bones?  Seriously, I have no clue about cooking anything but veggies! I would definitely flavor it though,  I love all kinds of crazy spices.

Yes any bones, ones with grissle and marrow best as that produces geletin. I cover them with water add veg and apple cider vinegar ( it is ment to draw the minerals out) it does not taste great but the benefits huge and in used to it now. For me I think it helped repair my leaky gut which in turn made my hair re grow. I have photos of my hair over 4 weeks of being on the diet - my hair went from 10% to 100%. But don't know how to post on here... It was pretty amazing how quickly it grew.

Yes I have!!! Have you tried the natural and holistic route? I only suggest this route, because it has given me results. After two years of trial and error- I have my hair and health!  (Thank the Lord and the Heavens) and am now on a mission to help others too. I have posted on my IG account, (same name) with so many articles about people doing treatments, meds, and all with no results or horrible side effects that have led to other illness and issues. I wrote a book and researched so much and am please to share that my client also see results. Try going holistic. It will take time, but your body will heal from the inside out. Don’t ever expect overnight success. No pill will give you that, bu rest assured, mother nature and natural healing has no negative side effects. Wishing you all the best. www.alopeciaangel.com for more info, pictures, testimonials, my story with pics and much more!
