Today I had my first apmt with my sons Endo since the MRI. Welllllllllll that dang nurse gave me the wrong information over the phone. My son in fact does have a tiny tiny tumor 3mmX3mm in size in his pituitary gland. This tiny little tumor is causing his hypothyroidism. The good thing is, no sugury is needed. The dr will re-do the Mri again in one year, unless bloods show it may have grown. Its a microadomena and usually these do not grow. It can in fact mess up his other endocrin organs, and they too will be monitored by blood every 8 weeks. As of today he is just showing the thyroid disfunction.

On another note, for the first time I noticed a major chunk of my sons hair feel out in his sleep the other night. I went to wake him in the morning and his bed looked as if he had a fight with scissors and he lost. His white down comforter coverd with strands of his hair. His pillow looked as if I had cleaned out my hair brush and left the clump right there on the pillow. Of course just as I thought it was at a standstill, it wasnt. I discussed this with Endo and he said it always gets worse before it gets better? Then he quoted "the calm before the storm" which actually made no sense....but whatever. He said he will speak with his peers, he didnt realize how bad it was getting until he actually looked at his scalp this time. He would get back to me with recomendations if any. The meds in time should return the growth. I am lucky my son doesnt care. I thought he would, but hes so awesome. I asked if I could cut his long locks off.......he said NO WAY...lol

So thats us for today, I hope everyone else is doing fantastic...or at least well.

PS: Thank you all for the notes/emails and responses - so kind and supportive!
