Alright hair...do what you must.
I'm tired of the burning, the itching and the amount of hair I'm losing all over. I just want it to end. Either stop shedding or grow...this is getting frustrating. I'm going to be shopping for wigs this week and some hats and scarves. I'm ready to buzz it off although everyone keeps telling me to wait a bit longer and enjoy what I have. I get that...just stop coming out then.
I'm prepared for God's plan with or without hair...it's the process that's totally irritating. I need a plan. Do I go in to the wig shop with my hair, which can conceal most spots and buy a wig? Do I shave it off with a brush cut then wig shop? What to do?
Just a vent...that's much better!

I know exactly where you are at. I can accept it, but just make up your mind right? I have just recently started wearing my wig. I bought it a year ago. you still can't see the bald patches underneath, although they are VERY large patches. I have chosen to buy a few wigs, inexpensive ones that I can wear over top of my hair. I have gotten my hair short and shaved it a little bit up the back so that I can tuck it in really easily and to be honest, I love my wigs. They sometimes get awkward but I no longer have to do my hair every day and most people didn't even notice that it wasn't my hair, just thought that I got it cut and styled differently. I have one that I wear to work every day and the rest are for play, so much easier than trying to make sure that no one notices and being concerned that someone is going to see. Not sure if any of that helps or not but please know that you are definitely not alone.

Hi Jen,
Believe me you are not alone! I have the same pain and itching on my scalp. Just when I think that my hair has stopped falling out a new bald spot appears. At the present time I have 4 spots, and NO new hair growing back in! I also thought of buying a wig, just to wear to work. Not a clue what to look for in a wig, I can not even find a wig shop in Wisconsin on the internet. Will try to wait it out...Sure is hard to style your hair to cover the spots , and then to spray it with hair spray so it can't move! Just when you think you have it figured out a new spot appears. I work as a sales clerk, so I am in the public, lately all I do is look at everyone elses hair and think why me! I have days when I wish I could just shave it all off and wear a wig, but then I think just MAYBE it might grow back! Try to hang in there, because I know just how you feel!

Hi Jen
When I bought my wig, I still had pretty much of my hair. I was able to cover up the spots by wearing ponytails. After I got it, it sat in my house for almost a year because there was SO much hair on it, and I hadn't had that much hair in years and I felt SO insecure. Then I had my hair guy cut it and thin it out a little, and I get ready for 2 hours to go out with it on for about 15 minutes. So it sat again. Finally this summer, when I was trying to get ready for a co-workers wedding I knew I couldn't hide anymore. My hair man chopped it off into the short hairdo I have now, and I've been wearing this since July 08. It took me until October to finally shave off the rest of my hair. It was kinda of freeing, but of course I miss my hair! Hang in there--it will be OK!!

very good vent. i recommend retail therapy: go get yourself some cute hats / scarves / a good bald spot spray / wigs / clip in extensions ...whatever your budget will allow and enjoy it as an opportunity to be adventurous with your appearance. silver lining!

Thanks for all of the support and advice. Today sucked in the shower. I'm thinking about collecting my hair in a bag and taking it all in at the end of this to have a wig made:) Here's the other sick thing...my hair actually looks decent on days and is curly....like a sick joke...only to have it fall out at the end of the day. i appreciate the comments again. I'm off to wig shop with my sister who is hilarious and totally supportive. I'm hoping it will be a good day. My hubby suggested blonde!?! My daughter suggested pink!! Should be fun.
