The Children's Alopecia Project will have families from over 8 states come to Douglassville, PA to attend the 3rd Annual CAP Kids Camp. We have families coming from as far away as Illinois to the West, Massachusetts to the North, New Jersey to the East and Virginia to the South of us here in Pennsylvania. We have over 30 kids so far and their is always room for more so if your child could benefit being with other kids with alopecia and a camp filled with all the stuff a summer camp has like campfires, fishing, canoeing, horseback riding and all the other great things that make camp great, you are welcomed!
We also do a fundraiser on line to raise $100 a day for 30 days at www.firstgiving.com/cap-donation

Visit www.childrensalopeciaproject.org for more info and to register.

My husbands business is having a bit of a summer charity bash on the 6th and AUK will be one of the charities benefitting from it. I will be there with information and my head on full show so hopefully a few more people will be aware at the end of the day :-)

Our group will be out every Saturday in September until the ribbons we make are gone. We'll be giving one to every person that makes a donation but most importantly we will be out in the community raising awareness!

I did not know that September was awareness month. Without really planning anything, I plan to educate my family and friends alot more about Alopecia. I have had trouble dealing with it, and I plan to take this oppurtunity to make my family/friends plus myself more aware.

This hopefully will be the first of many steps to be more invovled.

I have written to the local papers and asked them to publish my poem along with my name and email address, and a paragraph about alopecia to let people in the area know that they are not alone.

How can I get Alopecia awareness materials? I have an opportunity in my town on the 13th of September to have a booth at the community festival.
Thanks!

Woohoo, I am being interviewed by one of the local newspapers that I have written to tomorrow. I'm very excited. I will try to post the article as soon as it comes out.
Love and Hugs,
