It is okay to replace what's missing

When we can't see: glasses or contacts.
When we need a lift: bra.
When our teeth break or get strange: braces, caps, whitening, bridges.
When a heart fails: stent.
When arches drop: shoe inserts.
To cover nakedness: clothing.
To not be animals: toilets, deodorant, condoms, houses, sweet scents.
To improve color: make-up.

So...why stress over wearing anything new on a head? Seriously! You've already agreed to the inventions of humans, so why not one more? Besides, when your peers become 60 years old and above (as mine are now), there are more important losses to think about daily.

Give me a break.

Facelifts, tummy tucks, botox, liposuction....Yep, all those things and what you mentioned for some reason seem to be more acceptable (with caucasian women) than wearing a wig. Why oh why is that? Oh, and I might add, is acceptable for Hollywood and show biz people. But for average people who really truly have a reason? We get questions, glares, eye-rolls, snickers (and I don't mean candy) etc. Why oh why?

Um...because we never knew the Hollywood people without them, first, and all we have SEEN are the add-ons? Regular people have already become known among friends as they were in their youth or natural state, so a change is more obvious, maybe less professional (that's why a good wig stylist is important), and invites scrutiny.

I moved to a new state, so there is no one here who knew me as a brunette with thin hair. My blond wig is all they have seen here! Ha ha, fooled 'em.

Already had a break in each ankle. Casts and crutches got me to work until I healed. But yeah...we do what we need to do to function physically, socially, and emotionally!

Oh...and professionally!
