So that's it: I'll be bald in the future.
I have androgenetic alopecia and after much searching, go to several doctors, do a lot of things to keep the hair on the head I realized that it is not worth having all this psychological (and financial!!) distress just to maintain aesthetics. It may work for others but not for me.
I'm 25, I've always had long hair, but after a time of confrontation with alopecia I decided that the best thing is to adapt to the inevitable! My alopecia is at an early stage and I don't know how long it will be until all my hair fall. I'm keeping the medium hair now, but it's so unsightly... I decided that next Tuesday I will cut it! Very short! It's the first time I do this. hahaha! I kinda like it because I always enjoyed tomboy style.

From now on I will do this: I will cut it short and when my alopecia worse I'll shave as a military(hohoho love it!) until the day I no longer have any hair.

Just sharing my choice with you guys... Since I started losing my hair I became neurotic and now I'm starting to learn how to handle it better.

Sorry if I made mistakes... English is not my native language. =)

I have decided to do the same. I recently had mine cut into a pixie cut. It's the first time it's ever been cut short but it helps bc you don't notice the shedding as much. I bought a wig and wore it for a few months but decided I am just going to embrace my alopecia. I'm not saying everyday isn't a struggle but I look at it this way my struggle could help someone else. Prayers for you!

It sounds like you are brave and courageous! I also have androgenetic alopecia. I shave my head, and I can tell you that it isn't so bad. I cut my hair short, and then I just kept making it shorter & shorter. It sounds like you are already on the road to acceptance. You go girl! We are here for you!

Congratulations. I also have androgenic alopecia. There was a period of time when I felt devastated and so very frightened, wondering what would happen when my hair loss become so significant that I couldn't hide it. Then, like you, I came to the conclusion that I can cut my hair shorter and shorter, then buzz it, then shave it. And as soon as I came to that decision and realized life would go on, I felt so much better. It's wonderful that you have made this decision and can move forward. Congratulations. Can't wait to see a photo of your new haircut.

Although my alopecia is not androgenic, my journey is similar. Finally, I lost all my hair and it was almost a relief---the hardest stage, for me, was the fall-out stage. Knowing what the end was, choosing wigs and using humor to deal with it was liberating May you continue your great attitude and have blessings. PS your English is delightful.
