In the last few months I have gone from, barely any alopecia patches to barely any hair. Thru this time frame, I've experienced a mix of back & forth emotions between embracing it and hating it. But thru it all it has been so inspiring to see so many of you, confidently sharing your experiences. Thank you to all of you who have been brave enough to be open about your alopecia, you have all helped me to get to the point where I am now. Happy enough to love the situation I am in, hair or no hair. Losing my hair has been devastating but the best part about alopecia is realizing how little your hair defines you. :)

Thank you! I'm taking it as it comes. How long have you had alopecia?

Iron helps with that?

That's wonderful that your regrowing your lashes. I used to be anemic I wonder if there's a connection between to the two.

I agree with you.  I, too, am finally getting to the point where it does not define me.  I'm now embracing it, going public with it (even started a blog and have let my fb people know), and it feels great to let go of being ashamed.
