hi

i'v had alopecia on and off since i was 10. in the last year it has been at its worst. i'v lost all the hair at the the back of my head and about 3 circle patches about an inch in size each at the top and right side of my scalp. its getting very hard to cover so have started wearing hats nearly every day with the exception of going out to pubs etc.

i have been told about net weaves, but since my hair is still coming out i dont think its strong enough to hold it. i'v also heard of hair implants? and have thought about getting a wig but i dont think i like the idea of shaving my head! dont really have a clue what i am able to do.
anyone have any more info or know where i could get some info in glasgow?

Implanted hair may fall out again because the alopecia is internal. Scarves, hats, wigs or bald are the healthiest solutions I have heard on this site so far.

I would have to agree with Tallgirl on this one. You're going to drive yourself crazy trying to hang on to something that you can't control the loss of. If you don't want to shave it that's fine, there are plenty of ways to wear scarves and bandanas so that the hair you do have can still show. They look especially awesome with BIG earrings too!!! ;)
