Drew, I'm in the same boat as you, I'm going alone too, I think there are several people going alone, but don't you worry, we're a fun group. There's a "young adult" group that has people aged around 18-late 20's, somewhere around in there. You'll have to hang out with us, we're nice, fun, and a little wild at times. =)
I'm also in the same boat as you with college right now!It's SOOO hectic. Barely any time to breath, and the weather is such a tease here...one day I think Spring is here in full force and the next day I'm wearing a coat with my flip flops. So, hang in there...conference is SO worth the wait. It'll be so much fun!!! =)

Hey, Drew! Ashley (My conference BFF) is right! This will be my 4th conference and I am finally glad to be going alone! Going with family/friends makes it harder because you feel like you need to entertain them. When really what you should be doing is hanging out with US! Because we're AWESOME! Make sure you sign up/go to all the 'young adult' stuff! There's a dinner Thursday night and a support session one of the days. We'll see you there!!

hey ya'll its official for me too. i got my ticket and is finally registered. i will be going alone too and this is my first conference also. houston is my home town so i will be glad to show ya'll around if you like. warning! i like to party and i am a goof ball! see ya'll all there.

Hey Drew! Congratulations. I am sure you will have a great time and by the time you leave will wonder why you thought for a second that you would be "alone". A hotel with possibly over 700 people with alopecia! You will be taking to people in hallways, elevators, bathrooms ;). Not to mention all the people you already know from the site will be tracking you down ;).

Please, if anyone is attending the conference be sure to list your name on the Alopecia World Event calendar, so we can all find each other.

Ahh you will only be alone till you get to the Hotel Lobby. I go "Alone" every year. But then I land and my phone is already ringing "Were are you?" And now that you know Ashley, Melissa and I. I'm pretty sure you will have fun. I do believe there is a big group of new people going this year so you be in good hands. Just keep your eye out for the bald chicks they get a bit wild!!

Hey Drew,
I'm responding to this a little late, but I just signed up for the conference yesterday and I'm super excited. I don't think I have been so excited in my life besides the day I won my scholarship lol. You are also in my age group so I'm sure I will run into you quite often at the conference. Oh and you certainly won't be alone, just like Cheryl said, there are plenty of people who may try and track you down haha I know I certainly will be looking for familar faces from this website. I love hanging out especially with people my age so no worries there. I don't have a picture on here and my real name isn't Cookie so I guess it will be kind of tough for people to "recognize" me. Anyways, I'm sure it's going to be lots of fun...Can't wait to meet you all. Have a Good Night!
