So my husband shaved my head with clippers on Sunday afternoon. It was the best feeling ever. Showering is easier that is for sure. I even went out without a scarf or hat on in front of people I didnt know and actually held my head high. I wore my scarf to work yesterday but ended up taking it off and leaving it off most of the day. I decided that I didnt like the "velcro head" feeling anymore so I busted out the shaving cream and razor last night, this is the best feeling yet. I love the freedom.

Yeah!!!! Do you know about the AW Group - Sisterhood of Women Who Shaved Their Heads? Great ladies.

And bravo for taking off the scarf and letting your bald beauty show! I know it's hard, but for me it was "fake it til you make it" and baby steps of going out in public bald.

Yes! Hold your head up high, smile, and act as if there's nothing unusual about you, except that you're beautiful in a way that women with hair can only aspire to!

I thought I was the only one who marks this anniversary...once again, AW proves we're not alone. My anniversary is January 31 - 2011 will be 3 years.

Now that you've taken the leap, you must treat yourself to a headblade. It was recommended to me by another alopecian and I absolutely love it! www.headblade.com. Since using it I never nick myself while shaving.

Good for you Julia. You must get a HEADBLADE. It made my life so easy shaving with it. It is strange how shaving your head can set you free. We are all so proud of you.
