I guess I should blog more often.
I feel great. Almost too great. I am wondering: Since being diagnosed with alopecia, I find I am not getting the flu or colds like I used to. I haven't had a cold in over a year, which is highly unusual for me. I'll get the sniffles now and again, but it never develops into anything worse. I am not complaining! But I am just wondering if there is a connection...if the same bastards attacking my hair are attacking the germs too. Hmmmmm...
Believe it or not, I am liking being bald. It's cold, yes, but I am used to it and so are the people around me. I have lost most of the hair on my head, face and legs. But I still have the same amount of chest/torso hair as before. Weird. I don't know what kind of alopecian that makes me. The only annoying thing is having to shave my head every morning to eliminate the patchy look as much as possible!
Sometimes people still ask if I have cancer. Not people to my face. But people to friends of mine who then tell me. I just laugh.
For all the newly diagnosed alopecians, it does get better. Especially if you are a man. The bald look is in and I find some women kind of dig it... ;)
