So I went to see Lisa Williams last night and had to wear a wig. I tried the old "comb over" but with the stiches in my head and the ever growing patches of bald spots I could not do it. I have a human hair wig. So I washed and styled it and hoped for the best.

Hot - does not describe it. Does anyone else ever feel like EVERYONE knows your wearing a wig or parts of the lace part are showing? Paranoid about itching a scratch on your head and feeling the whole thing move? lol So there I was, at this show, in a wig. Sweltering.

Standing in line to meet Lisa after the show, I knew everyone could tell I had on a wig, even her. lol I am SO paranoid about it. The show was great. Loved getting in the car and yanking off my wig for some air, sweet air.

How does one get used to the wigs/scarfs/hats?

I guess 20 years with wigs, and carefully trying on the ones that feel and look best before buying, can do the trick. I just throw mine on and go, with minimal smoothing with a metal-pronged wig comb. All wigs come too thick and without bangs cut, so It also important to get someone experienced to not make your wig over into a Dork Helmet.
