Alopecia universalis diagnosed at age 2 yrs old

My daughter is 3yrs old now but lost all hair at age 2yrs old, no eyebrowns, eyelashes. Im just interested in others diagnosed so young. The doctors at St Louis Childrens Hospital said she will most likely never grow hair at all because she was so young and so severe. Im just curious what you all have seen, had happen. Thanks! Im new at this so not sure if Im doing this correct, Lori Ann

I new a girl who was bald from birth. As far as I know she never regrew her hair, but alopecia is a very strange disease and we never know if we will or won't regrow our hair. It's difficult for a mother to feel so helpless. I guess be prepared for it not to grow and anything more than that will be a plus.

Thank you all for your comments. Raerae doesnt get upset or care right now so that is great Im just preparing for when she is about 5 yrs thats when children start to care what others say and think. I have a daughter with Spinal muscular atrophy in a wheelchair who is amazing and does it all but at 4 or 5 she had sadness bc she couldnt walk and was different. So Im trying to learn what and how to say and do. Im so thrilled I have found this group. Thank you thank you
