Yesterday i found what looks to me like a new spot ..after months of not having any!:(
This is a poem i wrote about Alopecia i apologize if it is a bit depressing.
here it goes...
Back to Before

Just as my life began to feel whole again there you came trampling back in.

How am i suppose to have faith or even believe? When it is you that can make every bit of happiness leave.

The fear you evoke my mind you provoke. How my heart fell to the floor. just like before as i realize i cant take this

anymore. I thought this year would be the one the one that brought a sea of everlasting sun. Warmth would glisten

on my face, my life would frill like beautiful lace. But i spot you and i can watch my entire life disappear cause you

are the thing that fills me with fear. Just a little spot and my life is torn, helpless and lost i cry like a new born as i

watch my life pass me by and things can only get worse, cause i am left with this undying curse for i am not ment for

joy they say i realize this today.

Thanks Rock:)
Poetry really helps me to feel better about things.
Its like if i have a creative outlet for my troubles and fears they dont always build up inside me

I accidentally sent my comment without finishing it so delete it when you get it :)

Lace, honey! That was beautiful! Yes, sad but so true and nicely written, i was thinking the exact same thing Rock said when i read it!
I'm so sorry you found a new spot lovely :( i know it's depressing, but try to stay positive (i know its practically impossible) maybe it'll stay at that.
I think i had told you i was having loads of regrowth and i was, but now it's falling out by the handful again :'( i feel hopeless.

I miss talking to you. Keep writing (not to me, i mean channeling your anger and sadness through your poems, but to me too :) ) and stay strong.
Love you beautiful!

Lacey how apt your words are, and truly convey the feelings you have, as well as we all have. Thanks so much for sharing!

Great! Although I read it remembering feelings of my second bout with alopecia, Rock made a good point
that the poem could be referring to many things........alcoholism, drug addiction....

I also write poetry and think that it's good that you have a poetry as an outlet. Not just for you but when you share it helps others to know that they are not alone. Especially since, as others have said, your poem could be referring to many different burdens which elicit similar feelings. Acknowledging these feelings helps to put them in perspective so that you don't dwell on them and instead take joy in the things that you do have in life. Interestingly enough, in all my years and all my poems I have not written about my alopecia. I think you've just inspired me.
