Hi Stephinee.  I've got a 5 year old and know exactly how you feel, although mine has started teasing me and calling me professor baldie.  He thinks it's hilarious, but it does hurt a little....and he doesn't like riding on my shoulders anymore because my patches or regrowth poke him...so it's not perfect for me.

My alopecia started when my little guy was about 2.  I made a whole bunch of life changes when he was born and i've wondered if any of them contributed to my alopecia.  One major one was getting really clean and regimented.  I wonder if removing the bacteria from my life and getting onto a regular schedule left my immune system too bored where it ended up attacking me.  Anything similar on your end?
