Scarring alopecia or cicatricial alopecia - anyone else have this type? Have you found any drug or treatment that has stopped the progression?

Hi - I am 61.  My hairdresser first noticed I was losing what she considered to be a lot of hair about 25 years ago - I asked my doctor about it, she looked at my scalp and said everything looked…Continue

Hi Marie,

i have really embraced the hair loss (what else is a girl to do). I have several wigs and I like to change it up on the weekends and different seasons. I was going to get my eyebrows tattooed, but then I found eyebrow wigs on Headcovers.com. They are a little pricy, but they last for about 3 months. I take them off weekly, clean the old glue off and reapply new glue and I’m good for another week. People are shocked that they are wigs, they look that authentic. I also wear false eyelashes. I get those on eBay fairly cheap. I can get 5 sets for about $1.20. So I can change those out every day. Sometimes I clean off the old glue and I can get 3 days wear out of one set. I have a “work wig” I wear everyday at work. It took awhile to find one that I really loved and didn’t mind wearing to work. At home I go without a wig. I wear beanies when I go to yoga class or sometimes if it’s really hot outside. I’m fairly comfortable showing my friends what my hairloss looks like. But I really do enjoy the variety of wigs in my collection. Thanks for contacting me. It’s nice to know a LPP sister is out there. Feel free to drop me a line anytime. Have a fabulous day!
