my mum was diagnosed with alopecia last year, and unfortunately she dealt with it quite badly. As a result when it came to doing my dissertation at uni, I thought looking into the affects hair loss has in women would be an interesting eye opening topic to research. I however need to carry out some interviews with women in the UK suffering from alopecia, so if you would be willing to take part let me know, if not no problem.

- Hello Margaret...ran across your remarks on Gwennan's profile and can identify w/you wanting to "hide" sometimes under your wig...I felt the same way after buzzing my hair off last February. It's nice to meet older women on this site (I'm 52) w/older kids (I have 2 daughters, 19 & 23)who survive the challenges of alopecia crap, ya know? :D

Ive just done GMTV today http://www.gm.tv/videos/gmtv-highlights/35652-premature-hair-loss.html, so am answering lots of calls and emails!! I would love to come on Saturday, although I sing with a band and have a gig on Saturday evening, so I'm not sure if I can make it. I am in Plymouth, so maybe if I can't get there this time, I can in the future. Have you made contact with Melanie from Alopecia Awareness, she lives in Exeter and has run meetings in the past?
