- I have 2 grown-up children one of each,and have been married for 33 years to childhood sweetheart Steve.I had to give up work due to painful arthritis. I lost my first 10p piece sized patch of hair 2 weeks before our wedding but put it down to a bad 70's perm! My hair was very fine & never looked great so the upside of alopecia is not having to shave my legs & my "hair" always looks great. Must have saved a small fortune over the last 30+ years not having to visit the hairdresser.

i cannot believe the difference in Lynn since BALD OUT 2009 ONLY 9 days ago and joining Alopecia World
Lynn would tell me off if i left the front inner door open incase any caught a glimps of her - curtains had to be closed and she never went into the garden without something on her head - this week she has done so much wigless and people didn't fall down or gasp -it's given her new life ,she holds her head up and smiles at people not worrying about wind… Continue
