Hi tina, question about DCP. My doctor said I have to do it weekly and he says I cannot be in the sun or shower for 48 hours after using it? Also I have to go to his office every week because only he can apply it? I was just wondering if that is how it works for you? It is really frustrating because I am moving to a small town on the outskirts of London and that means I have to take a 1 hour train every week there and back to go to a 10 minute appointment! As far as CAP, they offer alot of different supports such as pen pals, online parent chats, support groups forming across the country and there is one in MO if you ask Betsy for the info, Alopeciapalooza and more. . Thanks...We have an AG store here in Mass nears us. No we won't be going to NAAF. Do you know about the Childrens Alopecia Project? www.childrensalopeciaproject.org. They will have Alopeciapalooza in Aug and it is all geared towards the kids. You should register with them, It is free. CAP also has support groups lead by parents through out the country. I think there maybe one in your area. I run a group her in Mass.
Yes, be patient with the treatment. How does the DCP work? Do you apply it on the whole head or half a head at a time. We apply it in small sections. We worked our way up. I say you need to give it at least 6 months . It took Sam only 12 weeks to see the start of regrowth once we went to weekly treatments. Good luck!

Hi Tina, My name is Cindy and you sent my daugther Samantha a request to write to your daughter. I know Sam will love that. I can have her post a message on your wall once she has some down time. She also has her own email address if Lillian would like it. How is your daughter doing? I see your using DCP. Sam has been using the sister treatment SADBE and if you be patient you may see results. Sam has regrown most of her hair head to toe in the 2 years she has been using it. We are finally seeing some eyelashes and she has a good amount of eyebrows now as well. Cindy
