hagster replied to Kristy Williams's discussion Hello everyone...
"What is a 'good hair specialist' and where do you find one?  Doubt that they teach much useful stuff in beauty school about hair loss.  Most just want to work with clients with full heads of hair."

hagster replied to Kristy Williams's discussion Hello everyone...
"And just what are we supposed to find as alternatives for hair loss on a "write an essay for you" website (from the link you provided)? We suggest shave because of the amount of hair loss.  When you only have 20-30% of your hair (or…"

hagster replied to Donna's discussion I’ve read some that Tramadol can cause hair loss
"A study concluded hair loss occurred in people over 60 who are taking Humira along with Tramadol. Humira can also cause Lymphoma (cancer). The Tramadol did not cause hair loss. And, I bet they were talking about hair loss as in thinning like after a…"

"I'm sorry that you misread what I said and then jumped to conclusions yourself. I was being sarcastic about how a 2 year old would have stress, not stating a supposition of fact. My point was figuring out stress for a 2yo; They really…"

hagster replied to K-Dunk's discussion Daughter with Alopecia and results with a product we are trying
"I'm curious as to how a 2yo has so much stress that he loses his hair.  Unless his parents are blinking idiots and fight all the time. Remember that there is no cure.  Only (possible) times of remission."

"I am one of the exceptions around here because I accept that I lost all my hair last year and just dealing with things as they come. I lost about 70-80% of my scalp hair in just a couple of weeks, so shaved my head on New Years Eve. Have only shaved…"

I too grew up in the 50's and 60's and I hardly ever read of anyone getting Alopecia when they are middle aged. While I found my first spot last August, it got bigger. Only I could see it unless I pulled my hair back. More spots came and hair grew back. Again I am losing hair, but no one can see but me and my hair stylist. I commend all the people that have self acceptance but I wonder if the older you are at the time of the fist occurrence the more self conscious you are.
