I agree..I'm still on thr GF diet and no dairy and my hair has come back--maybe not because of it,but I feel much more nergetic for it.

Thank you for that information Ken...After all the changes I've made in my life to try and cure myself ,I've come to the conclusion that one's genetics can't be changed. I think alopecia is genetic. Although things may agravate…

Since my last post I have regrown most of my hair, as you can see on my profile pic. There is only some missing above my ears and on the back of my neck. Even though I thought my dificult time was over, I had not really recovered emotionally yet.
The last few days have been quite stressful for me.. and one morning I woke with part of my upper left eyelashes missing. I'm not sure what this means. Will my hair fall out again? Will I lose my lashes? I've read many personal accounts… Continue

I've been altering my life bit by bit since I got alopecia. First, it was no meat or dairy ,then no gluten or eggs, excercising everday too.
Just recently I went off the birth control pill the doctor prescribed to regulate some girl troubles. I went through some terrible withdrawl from having virtually no hormones, and now things have gotten better. So good infact I've gotten some regrowth, Small patches of sparse hair. That hair wasn't there before, I'm sure of it.

I'm an artist, and twice a week I give charcoal classes. I begin with a still life subject , then I get in the spotlight and pose for 40 min or so. Yesterday, as I sat in a yoga pose on the floor in front of my students,I told them I was almost ready to go out bald. One lady suggested I take off my wig and pose for them like that. I wanted to very badly just to see how I would feel. So I checked if that was ok with everyone, and got a "Go for it" response.

Not sure if I've got this blog thing figured ,but here it goes...
I was curious about AU and AT I've lost almost all my hair and my brows were falling out. The story behind that, is advice from an allergy specialist. I have intestinal problems so on my last visit to my gastro Doc he says "Have you changed your hair." I smiled and told him whats been happening. He immediately refered me to an allergy specialist.

Looked at your photos. Your family is beautiful. How old are your other children?
I love your paintings. You have alot of talent. Having your art would be very good for you to help express your feelings I guess. My daughter, now 21, used to draw alot when she was in high school. It helped her to relieve stress.

I know I fiugred it was a long shot, however I have only been gluten free for a few days and have noticed and I'm not sure if it's just in my head but I'm not baloted after eating. I could literally feel my tummy fill up with gas, it was very uncomfortable. I am pregnant right now so I plan on gong in for any extra test that can be done after I have my last little bumpkin to see if there is anything else that can be found out. I right now have Hashimoto's disease which is hypothyroidism and almost AU so who know what else I may have lol... Anyway thank you for all your posting your right it may not help but it's cool to see what everyone has tried. Good luck to you.
I am going to check out ebay for some wigs tonight, I paid alot for the vacc wig I have now and with 4 kids I can't get more then one. I think it would be fun trying to styles and colors

Thanks for getting back to me... I wanted to look into the shoter blond one, I have to send my hair in for repair in the next few weeks so i need to find another to wear and that one is really cute. I also wanted to ask you about your diet. I am thinking about taking gluten out of my diet for a while to see what happens I figure what can it hurt. Then if I can do that I'll cut out the dairy and so on. How long after taking these things out did you see regrowth.
