Question

Hey everyone,I was diagnosed in October with AU. About a month ago my hair started coming back a little on my arms and very few patches on my legs and on my head. I'm wondering if this happened to anyone else. Did it last?See More

About Me:
My name is Anna, I'm 28 and married to an amazing man with two beautiful babies.
My yougest was born in March so when I started losing my hair a couple months later, I didn't think anything of it. And then I started losing chunks. My husband first noticed my hair thinning and then I noticed bald spots around my hair line. I still thought that it was post-pregnancy hormones until I realized that I didn't have too much hair on my arms or legs left.
I was diagnosed with AU in October and I'm still losing my hair. Most days I'm at peace with what's to come but every now and themn when I do something for the first time, like buy a wig, I kind of want to vomit until the newness of the situation wears off.
I'm looking forward to talking to others who have gone through or are going through the same situation.

Hi there. I also live in Washington, but on the other side of the mountains. I'm glad you found the site. I hope you get a lot of information from it, as well as hear from everybody. I have had AU for the past 8 years, and AA since I was 7. My hair came back in my teens, and fell out again permanently when I had my son 8 years ago. I definitely think hormones have a lot to do with it, and it sounds like this may be the case with you and your hair loss. Feel free to contact me directly if you want to chat, or if you are on this side of the hills.
