Hey Zoe,
Just curious where do you loose your hair from? Do you ever receive treatments ever? This is my second time loosing but I'm not sure if I will loose it all this time. I didn't the first time. How long did you shed for? This is…
Hi Zoe,
I liked your profile. I was wondering if you are wearing a hair piece in your profile shot? Is it a topper or a wig if you are wearing something. It looks really nice. Thanks for your help.

Hi!
My name is Zoe and I am a first year student at UVIC.
I've had alopecia areata since I was 15 years old. I've had it three times, but have never lost all of my hair. Last time I had alopecia was about one year ago and I lost about half of the hair on my head. Just recently, my alopecia has returned. It's certainly a struggle, but I find that every time I get it, it seems to get easier. I am lucky to be surrounded with great friends and the best family in the whole world which definitely helps me in my struggle. I love laughing and smiling and having fun. I also love the outdoors and being active. The second time that I had alopecia, I got a little baby golden retriever to cheer me up. She also helps me through the harder times. Pets are the greatest! Although my alopecia sometimes brings me down, it has also helped shape the person that I am today. I've learned tons about myself by having this auto immnune disease. The best thing to do is to SMILE and share the love!!:)

My A.A start last year around this time when my baby girl was borne and now my hear is growing back but is really white and i wonder if it was the same way whit you, thanks and sorry my english i just got here 2 years ago
Hi Zoe, I just recently got a partial hair piece (because I still have some amount of hair left on my head) and I was wondering how you wore yours. I'm planning it to wear it on the top of my head (maybe thats obvious lol) but I might have to get bangs with it. I saw from your pictures that you wore your hair out of your face when you had your hair piece on (i think). I would love to know how you styled your hair when you had your hair piece on, as I was wondering how to wear it without bangs. Thanks so much!
well i cant thank you enough for taking the time to write me back it means more than you know. see i think my problem is that i am a control freak and well lets face it we have no control over this thing at all..which i guess is the hard part that and just waiting for it to happen is just horrible. you know i dont even know hwy i am making such abig deal about it people face worse things everyday and after all its just hair! but it is a big deal to me and i cant figure out why...crazy i know but i just feel like i want to scream...yeah my patch this time around or spot as i like to call it is only 2 finger prints wide and hardly noticeable..but to me its all i see even if i have it covered up i still think everyone can see it. my mom and hubby think i am making a mt. out of a mole hill but no one knows what its like till they are there.my first experience i didnt think much of it either but this time around like you i know what i am facing and well to be honest i dont wat to..lol...like i have any control right..lol.i am just afraid of what people are going to say or how my own husband will look at me i mean dont get me worng hubbs is way supportive but its just a woman thin gi guess we want to be admired and looked on as beautiful. i guess i am afraid of what i will feel like when i dont feel beautiful anymore. i know vain huh?lol..well anyway i think i wrote you a lil short story of my own ...lol thanks again for sharing and keep me posted on how your doing..have a great weekend..:)
i see you were diagnoised at 15 for me it was 16 and i had 1 huge spot now i am 26 and have my 2nd case of alopecia.. i find it hard to deal with and well i am not going to lie i am not coping well at all. i see your pics and i am so jealous you look so happy i find my self these days not feeling so pretty and i really dont look in the mirror that often but i guess that my denail...lol. so anyway i was wondering how old you were now and if you only had 1 spot at a time or a few (i know these are personal ?'s and i truly understand if i dont get a response) i am just looking for a better understanding of this disoreder..i was laso wondering how frequant the spots are and if each time you get alpopecia is it more fierce? if you could help me answer these ?'s i would be very grateful thank you!:)
You are one gorgeous girl! I also went to UVic many moons ago and had similar party photos. Best time of your life but don't forget to study!
Can't imagine having alopecia so young. I'm in my early forties and now everything is coming out. My kids keep me too busy to worry much though.
Keep your great attitude!
