Vegas is not a place for wearing wigs!!!

Posted on July 1, 2009 at 12:22am 6 Comments

Is there a perfect place to live to wear a wig???

Hate wearing wigs in this heat but man!!! Why isn't there a cure for this already??? I am sure the same can be said for aids, cancer and other things. It's almost 2010 and we are still in fossel fuel and no flying cars as I was told as a child that we'd be flying around in to work when I became an adult.

Anyways... I've vented enough. Going to look for the good things in life to be happy about.

Some of my information is missing from this site..

Posted on June 29, 2009 at 8:15am 1 Comment

I have not been on as much as I'd like while trying to get more settled into my new home. I came on here to look for a photo and noticed that my photos were missing..

I had also shared a blog about the guy I'm seeing and dealing with letting him see me without a wig and our discussions about that.. that blog is missing..

Am I the only one???

Eyebrows re-touched...

Posted on March 26, 2009 at 12:15am 3 Comments

Had my eyebrows re-touched yesterday. Had them done darker since they are tending to fade a lot faster.

I got the courage to ask about eyeliner. Dawn showed me how it would be done by drawing with eyeliner pencil and have to say it was very uncomfortable. I don't wear eyeliner that close to the inside of my eye.

But wearing eyeliner is becoming more uncomfortable and it runs into my eyes and then I can't see.

I got to see Ken on the 21st in Vegas and we spent… Continue

Hello..

I am new to this site. Just trying to find my way around.

It is weird and yet refreshing to know that I am NOT the only out there who looks like me.

I refuse to accept the fact that my hair is gone for good. I think if I did, I'd die.

Women are known for their hair.. a woman under the age of 70 is not supposed to be bald. A friend told me today that it is very common for women to go bald. Yea, I replied if there is a type of immune disorder or… Continue

Hi Tina,

There is some prob with my profile on AW & its not letting me give message in inbox. I am sending u as a comment.

Oh ya i really enjoyed my vacations. Only the weather was hot. I hoped it was pleasant. I guess the global warming is affecting the weather in the mountians too.

Yah, everytime wen I go out i have to take full 1 hr to style myself in a way to look normal. SOmetimes it really annoys me, esp, wen i get a short notice that I have to go somewhere. Also, if someone suddenly drops by in the house, whether guests or friends, i have to first run into my room before mom opens the door & then take about 20 mins of quick styling before i come out to say hi. I dont wear scraf at home in summers coz my scalp sweats a lot, so, i have to always put the curtains in my window & glass doors so that no one can c me like that. I cannot enjoy anything freely. I feel binded to my wig & eyebrows all the time. I cannot have a sleepover at my cousin's or friend's house coz i dont feel comfortable without make up there. Its really a PITA. :(

Oh yah, even in New Delhi its very hot during summers & i cant stand the heat wearing a wig. MY scalps feel itchy & i feel irritated. The sweat is blocked inside the wig & it makes me feel uncomfotable.

I am sorry to hear about u & Ken. I understand its not easy to deal with someone who is less caring that u & esp, after knowing the person since u were 8! Thats a lot of time for someone to be really caring & luving. U took the rite decision to take a break from him. U have done a lot & given a lot to him & now its time he does the same for u. V can only clap with both hands. A relationship only becomes stronger from equal care both sides. Let him show his caring nature now. Just dont worry & keep enjoying life! :)

I believe in the same as u do that I want someone to want me for me & i also dont like wasting time or having any kind of timepass with any guy. Luv is a serious relationship for me.

I hope the book on meditation by David LYnch helps u. Meditation aims at peace of mind. I hope u get that!

Oh I wish Sara comes to ur place in Vegas. U will have a gud company with her, I am sure. :)

Even I wonder why there isnt any cure for alopecia since science have developed a lot. :(

Autoimmunity is highly complex, if indeed alopecia areata is truly autoimmune as most scientists in the field believe it is. There are some who question that. We have a type of condition that is notoriously difficult to understand and harder to treat effectively.

I wonder if you've read a lot about money that people send to research and have an unrealistic view of what research has done ( almost nothing) and where it's going ( basically nowhere). But the people who want you to give them money to do highly insignificant projects, hype it as if there's a slam dunk answer around the corner and then fail to account to you in detail about the meaninglessness of their "finds".

Of course, practically every person here would like to have all their hair. I sure would, but we choose to live well today rather than throw unrealistic hopes down the black hole of research.

Hi

Welcome to Alopecia World. It's nice place to spend a little time.

I just read you post about the lack of research and answers for us. I understand how you might be feeling and I just wanted to drop in and say hi in the hope that at least you don't feel alone with it.

Take care

Rosy
