Afraid to face reality

A while back I was wondering about getting a wig instead of getting a weave again. Well, I got the weave again still cant wrap my mind around the wig. I am thinking that this will be my last time getting the weave and I will start to wear scarves because I really really really dont want to wear a wig.

The last time I looked in the mirror I saw that my hair line in the front looks splotchy like really small dots of scalp instead of hair so I guess I am losing more.

I was feeling pretty good when I started to notice some new hair on my bald spots but then, alas a new spot and this time it is right in front of my hair cannot hide cannot hide. I really dont know what to do now. I hate the way the lace wig looks, I have a weave in now but thats going to become impossible if the spot continues in the front of my hair plus it takes forever to do and is expensive. I am thinking about buying a wig but I dont know if I will like it.

The Funniest Thing!

The funniest thing happened to me last night. I was inside Wendy's waiting for my order to be served when I heard this lady "Miss, Miss, where did you get your hair?" I must have thought to myself "I dont think she is talking to me." But she was and she said it again even louder and this time she added "thats some good stuff" which prompted the other workers to say yeah that is nice.

I actually felt flattered considering my community is filled with women who are obsessed with weaves… Continue

hi there it is all trail and error with wigs i would go for real hair if u can afford it i used to always wear synthtic but real hair is the ones for me i have made lots of mistakes with wigs i will never wear i use yaffa wigs now they are great value and the one i wear the most now has lasted me nearly 3 yrs mind u so used to wigs now as iv mentioned on other disscussions im quite good with them i save old wigs that have may be gone a bit bald on top and use the hair by cutting the strips of if its aopen weft wig which is strips of hair and sew them into the newer wig so i can get the density and style i want i learnt how to cut bangs and razor cut on u tube . i dye them highlight them curl them i know exactly how i want them to look the one im wearing on my page in the wedding pic was blond i made it a bit darker and curled it with tongs then i styled it on the wig head and added hair to where ever the webbing was showing its not hard its like sewing extensions or a weave in and u got all the time in the world to do it if u have other wigs to wear x also that wig in the wedding photo was two cheap ones i brought of ebay seller called rocky-mountain its in usa .and made one nice one x good luck

Hi Tamara, how are you doing? If you are having some difficulties, I would be glad to help. I wrote a book which a lot of women feel has helped them. You can check it out on my page.
Let me know! LeslieAnn

Hello Tamara, I believe that it really deppends on the wig, If you want the headline to look a bit more natural you need some babyhairs, if yours do what you can try to do is Use a smaller brush or a Qtip to apply the glue, so that way you wont have an excesss of glue. Hope this helps and If you have anyother question just let me know. Love Gracie xx

Hi Everybody

I came to the conclusion that the cream I am using is not working. Discovered that one spot got larger and shinier and another is becoming more defined. Very disappointing.

Yep it was May of this year. When I first noticed the spots it was pretty much denial shortly followed by depression. But luckily, I found this website right away and I was able to reach acceptance very quickly and my sadness was very short lived. :o)
