- Well I have had Alopecia for approx 3 years now. I seem to always have a spot or several. I have been getting the shots for 3 years as well and they do help mine to fill in, though a new one always appears it seems. For awhile there I was pretty depressed and was constantly checking my head for spots. I seem to have finally let it go some although I always worry that I may lose all my hair oneday. My fiance and family have been very supportive which has helped alot. These days I keep busy doing the business end of our Roofing company and that I find helps.

I am still dealing with the spots coming and going and still go for the shots every month. For the first time ever I got a spot on the front of my head at the hairline where you can see it. I was always fortunate enough to get them in the back where my long hair would cover them. So monday I will get my shots again and leave debating if I should keep them up. Just don't know what to do. Has anyone found that getting the shots affected their immune system? I asked the dermatologist about this but he claims it doesn't. I beg to differ. Anyways it is good to be here again and I will try to keep checking in.
