About Me:
Well I have had Alopecia for approx 3 years now. I seem to always have a spot or several. I have been getting the shots for 3 years as well and they do help mine to fill in, though a new one always appears it seems. For awhile there I was pretty depressed and was constantly checking my head for spots. I seem to have finally let it go some although I always worry that I may lose all my hair oneday. My fiance and family have been very supportive which has helped alot. These days I keep busy doing the business end of our Roofing company and that I find helps.
Are you age 18 or older?

Well I just wanted to say "Hello" again to everyone. I joined the sight 3 years ago and then didn't get here to often. I am still dealing with the spots coming and going and still go for the shots every month. For the first time ever I got a spot on the front of my head at the hairline where you can see it. I was always fortunate enough to get them in the back where my long hair would cover them. So monday I will get my shots again and leave debating if I should keep them up. Just don't know what to do. Has anyone found that getting the shots affected their immune system? I asked the dermatologist about this but he claims it doesn't. I beg to differ. Anyways it is good to be here again and I will try to keep checking in.

Hi Sue. Did the injections start working for you right away? Do you think it's weird that I've gotten the injections twice and only see one very very tiny spot of regrowth out of my 15+ spots? I'm really leaning towards stopping the injections.

Hi Sue,
Welcome!
We've all gone through that -- the checking for spots, the depression. I finally lost all my hair, everywhere -- which has its benefits! Anyway, I wrote a book about it. If you're interested, take a look at my page. There's a link and you can find out more...
