Attaining freedom

I feel as if I've reached the beginning of a sense of freedom. When I talk of freedom I mean freedom from self, inner relief, freedom from restrictions.
I don't want to get into this sad tragedy of my hair loss at 13. It happened, I struggled, I got bullied, and I went through a long stage of hiding behind wigs and generally hatting myself.

That is it, before I found this site I was thinking about "my" looks. Now it is "our" looks - something shared with other wonderful people. And it is amazing to realize how this condition can make people strong. Pity that we are not seen enough. I feel sorry for some who feel like turning into a "monster" when losing hair - just because societal standards suggest and market the "importance" of hair. I like my hairless body and wouldn't like it otherwise. Thanks for being here!

Thanks! I like us showing our unique beauty. The more we are seen the more having no hair becomes just a "normal" feature. Great to meet bald mates here - I'm the only one in my little world.
