i think it would be nice to find a friend here in san diego county that can understand, discuss, and share our experiences with alopecia. i currently have patchy hair loss but after shaving and understanding that this disorder is so unpredictable, id almost rather lose all my hair so i wouldnt have to deal with growing hair over spots or shaving my head and exposing them to people that just dont understand.
Hey, that's great there's a support group in San Diego! Will be vacationing there soon and would love to check it out.
You are welcome, thanks for contributing ;)
Hi Saungho,
Welcome to Alopecia World.

Thank you for the sweet comment. I'm not ready to shave my head yet. I'm hoping I have a nice head too. lol Stay positive and remember ... there's nothing hotter than a confident man. :)
Hey there. Saw your post on my wall. My hair started to fall out last July, evenly all over and by late August there were just strands left. I had the biospy done and showed AA, within a month of that (Sept) all my body hair fell out. Don't mind not having to shave but hate having to draw in eyebrows and put on lashes. Did the steroid shots and hair grew back but a month later it fell out in those spots as well. Currently doing steroid creams and went to an Alt. Med MD to readjust my whole diet (have gluten/dairy/egg sensitivities). Maybe this will stop the inflammation inside to stop the body from attacking itself, who knows!! It's been 7 months and it gets easier but I still wonder when I'll get to the point of feeling good about myself. Saw your in Packer gear, Love IT. My house is all Packers Fans!! Take care.
Nope! You're not the only one! The Sungho I know is actually from Guam and going back there shortly. When I say 'other' of course, the doctors don't know what to diagnose me as having. I have been losing my hair for a year now, and nothing has helped medication wise, topical, or pills. I've been on everything, antibiotics, steroids, anti-virals, you name it... I'm finally giving up and going to shave off the rest. It's so much stress dealing with the daily fall out that I'd rather just have none. It's made me depressed, feel not good enough, feel as though no guy would want anything to do with me, feel like I'll be rejected, etc. Nothing good has come out of this condition except for finding this website. How have you been dealing? Hopefully better than me! :-)
Hello there, welcome! I have a friend named Sungho here in Colorado, so your name caught my eye. This site is so helpful, and is such a great source of support. -Sarah
