- I have been diagnosed with scarring alopecia since 2005 but I believe it slowly started in 2003. I remember combing my hair and it would be all over the bathroom floor. It was a really hard thing to deal with for a while because styling options were limited and I have always had long full healthy hair. I have balding in the crown of my head and it is slowly progressing. As I lost my hair I also lost my self confidence. I decided to cut it down real low and wear it natural. However that just made it worst because I can't have any tension on my scalp, that means even combing would be very painful. I could remember being so depressed about my hair and crying myself to sleep about it asking GOD why me. I would think that I have always had problems with my skin and now this. However, although it took me A WHILE I realized that there are many people in the world in worse situations that would just wish all they had to worry about was hair loss. I began thanking GOD, stopped complaining about it and started praying for options. I have recently found that full lace wigs gives my scalp relief from any tention and pain in my scalp and it also prevents inflammation. I have gotton my self confidence back and I have learned that this is just something else that makes me unique. I am still the same person I have always been and I can use this experience to encourage others. I started selling lace wigs to help women like myself to find styling options for hair loss. I love helping women look and feel their best despite hair loss !

I finally did it...I shaved my head..

I finally cut my hair off and I feel great!! I still wear my lace wigs but I was just holding on to my hair when there was really no need to. PLease excuse the adhesive I was just about to apply my wig before taking the 1st photo!
