Oh and I got my topper through the Hair Care Market in Dunedin. I think they used Hair Creations. They sent down some samples for me to view before I purchased mine and they were gorgeous! mine however, not so much! the hair is very processed and The part area very sparse, so you can see the lace underneath very prominently! :(

No Paula! You are not old at all! I have come to realize that as you age you don't necessarily feel any older! (so true).

Oh wow you are an Early Childhood teacher too, that's awesome! :) Yeah I'm actually only still doing me degree. I decided to do it after doing many other things in my life job wise and not really feeling happy. I worked in admin for years (which I have to say for me got boring very quickly! I have always really loved being around young children, I thik you can learn so much from them :). So when I turned 30 I though hay! what the hell I am going to do it!! and it is the best decision I have ever made. I work at a childcare centre here in Dunedin and study too :)

I don't have any children of my own, but my wonderful partner Steve has a 10 year old (Lily) who I love to death! We have been together since she was 3 so I have been in her life for a while. My partner is extremely supportive of my hair loss issues, so I am very lucky! :) Are you married? or do you have a partner? Oh wow gosh!! I only just realised you are from New Zealand too! fantastic :)

When you say the facebook page do you mean the Alopecia World one?

:)

Yeah wig support is awesome. Had a wee look, but will have to have a more in depth look. I am wearing a wig in my profile lol and my hair in other pics are kind of older pics, it's quite a bit thinner now. It's getting tougher so I think I may try to wear my wigs more. I am finding it hard getting used to wearing them in public though. I had a terrible experience here in NZ with a company who made me a terrible topper which cost me $1500 and I now can;t wear it (they wouldn't take it back)this was a few years ago, so I am a bit iffy on toppers, especially as I have curly hair, This can be a little tricky to find a topper to match :( anyway I am trying to keep my head up. Turning 31 next week ahhhh! so I need to come to terms with it. Helps so much talking to others...like yourself :) That's great that you are swapping to try toppers! what a great cheap way to try them :) great thinking with that! :) Are your kids boys or girls? I am an Early Childhood Teacher which I love, Kids are amazing!!:)

Hi Paula, I hope you are doing good. AW is a wonderful place to connect with others who are going through the same emotions and trials of hairloss!
