I asked the question why me Lord?
This Alopecia has caused me to fall and have no reason to live!!!! My hair is growing and falling out! I have been to several doctors and so many treatments. I'm so tried of people looking at me and having to pay money for hair that sometimes does not look rt! It's not a good feeling at all!!!! I hate the way I look now and finding it hard everyday do look myself in the face or even leave the house!!!!

Welcome! This condition is a particularly big challenge especially at the start ...but the good news is that it does get easier and easier to live well and normally. It's just good to go easy on yourself and ride it out a bit. Being able to talk about it openly is key to getting on with life. I've had AU/AT since 1996 and I had too many transitional phases along the way to count....but they each taught me something valuable about myself and my ability to cope and be the person I want to be.And most of all I learned the best lesson that other people really do not care about what's on my head or not on my head. I hope we can provide collectively good support for you here on AW...
