Question about Clobetasol Topical Solution......

So I was diagnosed with Alopecia Areta about 4 months ago, and was giving Clobetasol Solution along with some laser treatment, that I have now stopped both of. In the last few weeks I have more hairloss now than ever, after what seemed to stop while I was on clobetasol. My confusion lies in that I've heard people saying Clobetasol has various uses.
