Hi Megan,
I'm pretty happy with the regrowth. I still have about 10 spots that are still white hair and less diffuse. I'm just waiting for the color to return to those areas.....and then....we'll wait and see.

"Acanthosis nigricans is a brown to black, poorly defined, velvety hyperpigmentation of the skin. It is usually found in body folds,[1] such as the posterior and lateral folds of the neck, the axilla, groin, umbilicus, forehead, and other areas."Basically if you have it, you'll know.Usually, A.N. has a medical cause, but they've never found a reason for mine. - I'm a fun, adventurous, and as my mom would say, eccentric university student. My passions are art, music, and literature. I have a B.A. in English Literature and am currently taking my B.Ed. I am a student teacher at an elementary school.
I was diagnosed with AA in December 2009. I have also had moderate to severe eczema for my entire life. I started using Clobex to treat my Alopecia but had hand tremors as a side effect. After about a year, my hair is all back. It still continues to do whatever the heck it wants, though. The sink is always full of it.

Tomorrow I go back to my teaching placement. My second cousin who also has alopecia is at the school...she's 9. When I first found out that she was there, I thought to myself..."I havent seen her in years, how am I going to find her?" But then I saw the one little girl wearing a scarf on her head, and I knew.
