Thank you for the message--i lived in Overveen for seven months in 1979--and then lived in Sanpoort-Zuid (near Haarlem) for two months in 1983 and then visited Holland in 1979--and stayed again in Holland for a month in 2005. I plan to return next summer. Yes, I've fully embraced my baldness, but I hope to encourage others to realize the beauty is within and that being bald helps clarify that so much of what we believe about beauty is based on perception and that we have the power to change that perception by looking in the mirror and believing in ourselves. Thank you for your positive spirit!!!

Hi Maudy, Yes the methotrexate is worth it...let me know how you make out. I had abdominal surgery in April and didn't take my metho for 5 weeks....boy am I paying for it now! I have about 8 bald spots...4 along the front,1 on top, 1 huge one above my left ear and a couple at the back of my head.... I have a friend who is a Physician assistant and she injects Kenalog into the spots to stimulate them to grow. It usually takes 5-6 weeks after to start seeing the fine hair filling the spots in. I should not have gone so long not having my metho shots, but I was curious to see if I stopped it, if my hair would fall out again...I have done this about 3 times in the last 5 years since it grew back after starting the Metho...you would think I would learn by now that YES it is going to all fall out again if I stop the Metho...now I have months and months ahead of me waiting for these spots to fill in and catch up to the rest of my hair. It sure looks funny when I have these 2 inch bunches sticking out from my long hair..ha ha
good luck and please let me know how you are doing
Kim
