- I am 28 year old alopecian. I started losing my hair when I was 19 and have gone through all the stages with it that are possible. My breakthrough came with a beautiful tattoo on my head that I love to show off. So I have stopped wearing wigs/hats every time I go out and have gotten really comfortable with showing my "true side."

I can't believe no one is talking about this so I had to post. Researchers at Columbia University have discovered the 8 genes where Alopecia lies. This is a huge step forward. These are a few links I have found.

Hope you are feeling better! The meeting went good on the 17th, we all learned tricks from each other. I'm going to try and post my next "How-To" on the Alopecia Diva site because it's easier to post there with photos. My plan is to do a get-together for the Diva's at least once every season if not more. Will keep you posted.
