- I am Research Interviewier with The National Alopecia Areata Registry. We are a federaly funded non profit organization set up by the National Institute of Health to find a cure for Alopecia and develop better treatments. The registry has been colecting data since 2002. since then we have been able to confirm the gentic aspects of alopecia and are currently working on isolating the specific genes we've associated with alopecia. Participation will involve a one time blood draw and can be done with our specialists or using your own physician.
