About Me:
Hello, my name is Donna Schillaci and I have experienced alopecia for over twenty years. I know first hand the emotional and physiological stresses one can have with total hair loss, terrified the world would discover my secret. Once I discovered vacuum hairpieces it freed my life of the burden of feeling incomplete. Since then I have been in business helping women and children with an alternative for their hair loss; vacuum hairpieces. I am the West Coast Regional Agent for Freedom Hair LTD., offering the highest quality of Unprocessed European hair. {view my video at, www.myimagebydonna.com}

I was first diagnosed with alopecia at the age of 25 years old, right after the birth of my first child. I felt that after five years of treatment by injections from a leading dermatologist that the hair loss was not getting any better and that there was no end to it. Every day I had to emotionally prepare myself for the tape and gluing on of a wig, which was horrible. Words cannot describe what this did to my self-image and esteem; I felt withdrawn, afraid, and very vulnerable.

On my journey to find the solution for hair loss, I discovered vacuum hairpieces. This discovery changed my life allowing me to have a normal and active lifestyle without the worries. I was finally able to regain all that I had emotionally lost. I felt better about myself and normally accepted by all of my surroundings. I am no longer looked at as a woman with hair loss, but as someone who has regained her full identity. It has changed the way people look at me, not only my husband and two children, but everyone who knows me.

Freedom Wigs of New Zealand manufactures prosthetic hairpieces, which I have found to be my solution. Their hair consists of the highest quality virgin European hair ever to be placed into a lightweight soft silicon base. Freedom is the leader in using the lastest technology for a secure vacuum fit. No messy, painful plaster method. I take a 3-D image of your head using a scanner for a secure vacuum fit. Offered in many hair lengths and colors to choose from, you will find quality construction throughout. Since this is unprocessed {virgin} human hair, you can custom cut, color, and style with a professional stylist.

I know first hand what it feels like to experience total hair loss; it can be emotionally devastating. Ever since I was a young mother I have had the burden of feeling incomplete with my image. I found that the perfect solution to my problem was a product known as vacuum hairpieces. Freedom Wigs, like their name, has set me free to live my life to the fullest.

Hello, Im in the IN area, and am checking into Freedon Vacuums right now, I am really hoping to have something better than laces, and dealing with tapes, and glues everyday too! Wow does that put a damper on the day itself, just etting up and thinking about the same old ritual. I cant wait to get my new vacuum wig! Im new and still trying to find my way around the site..cheers to a new and upcoming Freedom woman!

Hi Donna,
It was great to hear from you, I hope that we can get together in the future, right now I'm in that losing phase, Donna do you think people really have this their whole live? or do you think it just eventually burns itself out? I have heard such conflicting opinions from the so called experts, I think we are the only experts as far as AA goes, so we must rely on each other, thank you for your supportive words. I must say that after viewing your pics and profile, I feel a bit less scared of the possibility that it may all go....it's the processes that I don't like, a little like death (I never thought of that before) I agreed with how you felt about this, I know their are those that are happy and comfortable being bald, I'm not one of them, and I refuse to feel guilty about it anymore! Just like the fact that we are suppose to have 2 arms & 2 legs, we were meant to have hair, it is the norm, and I'm more comfortable with it than without. I look forward to getting to know you better, and again thanks so much for the reply, it's kind of a bad spell for me right now and I needed that :-) Christine

Hi Donna,
I just read your profile here, after finding the pacific northwest group, I have AA for about 7 yrs now, when I first realized this is what I had, I remembered a young woman on Oprah several years ago come on and demonstrate a prosthetic hairpiece and I never forgot it. In the back of my mind I knew that if I lost it all I would want one of these, it is good to know that there is someone fairly close that represents Freedom Wigs. I am losing right now and I never know when or if it will stop, I hope always that it would burn itself out and I'd get to be done with it, but we never know. I live in a small town in WA called Enumclaw about 40 miles east of Seattle . I look forward to getting to know others here, as I've never met another face to face. Your Freedom Wig is beautiful.

Hey beautiful, been rock climbing lately? I think that is what one of your blogs said. I am really interested in that sport. Uses the muscles and the brains.

I am glad you found the web-page. Yes we have a consult for a wig in the tentative plans. Hope the weather holds out for this weekend. Chow.
