That's great news, hope it keeps growing and yes it gives us all hope that one day it might come back, but if it doesn't I agree with you bald is beautiful.

I'm so glad that you have total regrowth! That is awesome! Please keep us all updated even if you keep all your hair forever! I'm looking for others with AA that keep their hair and never get patches again! It's seems to me…

I shaved it all off January 24th, and by March I had some small patches growing in. All the patches grew in the same way they fell out. Which ever patch was last to appear...was the first to grow. So, the main patch ( the first one I noticed) grew…

Hi Everyone!!
I have thought long and hard about updating on Alopecia World - I didn't want to upset anyone with my good news...but then thought...HEY...If this could give even one person a bit of hope...it's very much worth it!!
The good news is that I have 100% complete regrowth. I shaved my head on January 24th 2009, and by October 2009, the last patch had grown over.
One year later, I am patch free and just waiting for my hair to grow long again. I still… Continue

I thought I would give everyone an update on the AA progress....
Since I stopped using the clobetasol cream...my hair has started to grow back. I started out with 16 patches...and am now left with 2 - one of which is very small on the back of my head, and the other is the very first patch that started. It grew to a lovely 4 inches...and is now about the size of a canadian nickel. I have had complete hair regrowth in all other patches. I have hair growing in the last two patches - some of… Continue

Well...That was soooo last year! LOL.
After I shaved my head - It looked a lot worse then I originally thought. I think I counted around 16 small patches. I still have the first large one on the top of my head, but a bunch of smaller ones have joined the army.
But...I tried doing a "pull" test last night with some tweezers (since it's too short to pull with my… Continue

So...I'm ordering my wig tonight. I found 3 more patches starting - which gives me a total of 5...that I know of.
Does anyone else experience a pain sensation at the site of a patch? My big spot hurts to touch it. And it seems itchy a lot.
Has anyone ordered from wigs.com? I found a wig on there that was very close to my normal hair style - and the price seems to be average.
I hope somebody can help me with this - as I plan to order within the next hour...

I was going to write you earlier today but our internet was not working. I too, have to say that I got off the phone feeling happier and relieved. It was so nice to put a voice to the face. It helps alot to know that others are going through this AA thing and having both happy and sad moments. it makes me feel less crazy, schizo...bipolar??!!:) We are the chosen ones!!! LUCKY US!! How are things going with you? I had a meltdown yesterday. My hair was super dry so I was giving it a rinse with olive oil...and well the clumps of hair that were coming out were overwhelming. I just bawled...my daughter was there, and said "it's okay mommy, I'll love you anyways, and gave me a kiss". That's all that matters isn't it? But it just hit hard that this isn't going away. Today I'm better, my hubby is so supportive and loves me regardless of what happens. But I have great hair!!! I really do...why my hair??!! We're prepping to get a shaver this week and possibly hit the wig shops. Just sucks. Wanted to vent, sorry it was on your page. Hope you are doing better.
