- I am 61 years old widow. I started losing my hair (at the crown only) about 9 years ago while I was in a very stressful job. It grew back after treatment but most of my head is now bare. The loss was further compounded when I lost the three people closest to me in a short space of time and was made redundant. I have also lost my eyebrows and my eyelashes are very sparse, I have some patchy hair at the back of my head which I keep as it helps my wig to stay in place. I do not feel confident to go out bare headed. I did not lose my body hair. I have tried numerous things to regrow my hair but to no avail. I have good days and bad.

Celia, I have not tried that drug, so I can't comment on it. I see that it is used to treat a number of other maladies.

Hi Celia how are you. Thank you for taking the time to message me. I have just come home from a long trip to get fitted for a freedom wig. I don't know if you have heard of them. They are fantastic. It's being made ands will b ready in about 6 weeks time. X
