Debbi Fuller replied to Carolyn's discussion Cap showing in my part? in the group alopecians who have a freedom wig! (or are getting one)
"OK, great! Yes, please always ask me first - I sometimes have a good answer! Not always. When you ship it for a repair, it will take a while, so send it when you can. Because the price of repairs has gone up so much since last time, please put a…"

"Debbi, thanks...dont know why I didn't just email you! In the pic, that's the piece that I got cut in Chicago! I love my second piece!! I think I just need to cut in a few wispies...I'll go back and look at the first piece. Which by…"

"Carolyn, I'm going to be in Charlotte on the 18th and 19th of May in case you want to see me. Quickly though, it's a matter of cutting a few little wispy pieces to disguise the edge. In the pic, you look fantastic!!"

"Yes. This our problem exactly except our (my daughters) front edge is visible all of the time. We just had subtle bangs cut but that didn't really help. It's truly very bothersome to her (and me). Our stylist took a brown Sharpie marker…"

Cap showing in my part?

Just a quick question! I like to pull my bangs to the side sometimes, and from time to time I feel like you can see the line of my cap where the bangs are parting. Anyone else deal with this? I'm thinking there is a styling solution, but I'm not sure what it is!See More

"You could also take pictures of it on, and send them to her, if she isn't close by. I would want to make sure it was perfect as well. But I promise you, it's all worth it!"

Hi Carolyn! I am Donna! How are you? I was looking at your photos! Your freedom wig looks absolutely amazing! I am definitely quickly approaching the need for getting one. Could you give me your opinion of them? Definitely trying to get as much advice as I can before I take the big 4K debt on! Thank you for any advice!!

I wish I had known about the wig group before I spent days researching wigs and buying one yesterday! I feel confident that the place I ordered it from, Loris Wig Site, is a good one. The customer service has been great so far, much better than headcovers.com, which I'm boycotting!

I'm assuming these will be the only wigs I ever need to buy and that my hair will grow back! I will remember your suggestion about the wig group in the back of my mind in case I need a new wig, but I'm thinking positively I won't ;)

Hi, Thanks for the add, fellow North Carolinian! I've been reading your posts about wigs. I have a halo wig and regular wig. The alopecia progressed rapidly this past month, and I went from wearing a headband scarf to not being able to leave the house without a hat or wig within weeks! I just had some trouble with a halo wig I ordered at headcovers.com (grrr, so frustrating!)

Since I still have some hair and can get away with wearing just a hat, I can't wear the vacuum wigs, but they wound awesome!

Hi Carolyn!
I am from the Charlotte/ Burlington Area and I am hoping to get a support group started in NC. Please let me know of any questions you have and if you are interested. It is all sort of up in the air for now.

Regards,
Melody.

So it sounds like they're basically suction wigs like Freedom wigs?
