- Hello. I'm Carmen. I have lived with Alopecia since I was 3 years old. It's had it's ups and some very down, downs but I have survived. I can honestly say that I am no longer just a survivor of this condition. I have felt God work through me in transformation. I have to talk to and met so many people who have Alopecia or who have experienced hair loss. Though I don't wish it on others, there is deffinately healing in knowing others like myself.

Dear support group leaders

I would like to start a support group in Indianapolis, IN. I do have the support of NAAF. However, I would like to get all the insight and advice I can get from experienced support group leaders. Help me to have a great support group from the very beginning. Tell me things that you had to learn along the way that you wish you would have known from the beginning. Uninvited Strangers at My Door

I have a little story for you.
Well, I really don't like solicitors. One of the reasons I don't like solicitors or uninvited strangers at my door is b/c I usually don't have my hair on in my home and to answer the door I always rush to find and put on my wig. I allow myself to feel like a prisoner in my own home when I do this.
So today there was a knock at the door. I was urk'ed and decided I was NOT scrambling to get my hair on. So I ANSWERED THE DOOR WITH OUT MY HAIR.… Continue
